The volume of construction works in residential buildings in Romania has increased 68.7% in the first 11 months of 2017 compared to the same period of 2016.
The number of building permits for residential buildings increased in 2017 by 7.6% as compared to 2016, reaching 41,603, according to data of the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The growth was reflected, according to INS, in the following development regions: North-East (+851 building permits), Center (+456), Bucharest-Ilfov (+799), West (+350), South-East (+286), South-West Oltenia (+258) and South-Muntenia (+137). Declines were recorded in the North-West development region (-187 permits).
